Stephen Clark - background

Born in 1944, my earliest memories are of life at RAF Manston where my father served as a chaplain after the war.

In 1946, we moved to Hadley Wood on the outskirts of London and then, in 1952, to Wood Green in  North London.

We moved to Folkestone in 1959 where I met my first wife and married in 1965.

After a year with Mullards at Mitcham doing development work on fibre optic faceplates, I joined Barclays Bank as a Trainee Programmer in 1966.

In 1972 we moved to Dublin for 4 years and then, after a short time back in England in Wilmslow, Cheshire moved to Melbourne, Australia.

We moved back to England in 1986 and, with minor interruptions, I have been based in Sheffield ever since.
